I thought Vanilla Ice was a joke back then but Arsenio Hall was being a dick.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Total jerk.
Barry Manilow put him in his place. The week Barry was going to be on, Arsenio was making underhanded jokes about him. When Manilow was on and Arsenio made a backhanded comment, Manilow looked at him and said something to the effect of, Look, I know what is going on. I get the jokes. But I like the music I make and so do a lot of people.
He said it in such a way as really shut Hall up.
