I just wanna know when the hell they're going to put new songs up on myspace. Wasn't the news of that happening about month ago? I knew this was going to happen. That's honestly the only thing I care about concerning the Bunnymen right now, unless they bring out an album of outakes or early live stuff.

Any takers on when the new songs will actually show up? Another month? 3 months? September?

Common, you shoud know one month equals one year when it comes to anything released. you are right, you go to their site and first thing you see is a download of the rascals covering them, why if the album has been finished cant they even put one song up on myspace or their own site.

Probably to do with inept management. I mean what competent band manager(s) would let all the goodwill generated by the Ocean Rain shows go to complete waste? People were talking about the Bunnymen again and it was the perfect time for the Fountain to come out or even a live album/DVD of the Ocean Rain shows but that has come and gone and the Bunnymen are now without a label and without momentum. Whatever flaws Bill Drummond may have possessed he would never had allowed this come about.

Does anyone know about the Bunnymen's management? Professional managers or a couple of friends/fans who agreed to do it on the cheap?

Stubbs BBQ and a pizza joint?

Is a show at my local Double'z out of the question at this point?

And I thought Mac was as back on form at the Radio City show as one could ask for. Whatever he did to prepare for the Ocean Rain shows, it worked. So I gotta at least give him credit for that. And Will is pretty much always great.

Vocally back on form I meant.

I'm still not comfortable with Mac's attempted forays into the adult contemporary charts.

It does seem like a great opportunity is being/was squandered. They should at least release an official free download of a new song while this label thing is being worked out.

However I will never forget the "goodwill" generated in a Marriot Marquis hotel room

I know, last time I was on there I saw that and was like "what the fuck is this?". I don't know who's running their site right now, but it sure doesn't make me want to go back there on a regular basis to check for news.

I look often, same with the my space page, although the likelihood is that there will be nothing new. Scan the first headline after the page loads up, and then I move on. My space, I just wait to hear the opening chords of Nothing Last Forever on the embedded musicmathingy and then I'm out of there. Shame.

Face it,the Bunnymen are doing nothing at present, hence Mac's solo gigs. And I dont feel too much anticipation for the new album around these forums.4 years since Siberia and we only get Think I Need It Too and the other one played via some obscure radio station. The Fountain was recorded in 2007 and still not released.Quality problems?I reckon 50:50 its been ditched and the band will split after the next set of £ busting OR shows and festival shows.
To be fair to Peter,he can only do what he's given by the managment who appear to tell him things and then dont bother i.e the OR gigs announcement in November.

Sadly, everything you say is probably dead on. Can't Obama do something?

With their back-catalog, including one or two gems even on the later albums (and probably more to come) they don't have to prove anything. But it sounds from the live reviews as if Mac has got his young voice back (can you give us a percentage?) which means the band could play the more ambitious and experimental work live.

Theoretically at least.
