The US Rolling Stone gave it 5 stars and gushes saying boots is the weakest track. The Argentinian* Rolling Stone review said it sucks.

* This should be my last reference to the place. For awhile.

Argentina is withahip's band camp.

Rolling Stone = Horrible. RS always has had a hard on for U2. Having Boots on the album AND as the lead single should automatically drop from perfect 5 star status.

Oh yeah, I just had to personally say how much I dislike Rolling Stone.

We just refer to you guys as heathens for short.

Who knew googling Rolling Stone and Obama images would have brought up some wholesome goodness. My thanks to fat cherry for investigating the matter further.

No
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

From the Grauniad review of the new album:

"Reeling from the shock of an album [Pop] that was only certified platinum once in America, U2 clearly discovered that the urge not merely to be successful, but to be more successful than everybody else - the urge that had powered them past infinitely hipper, more acclaimed post-punk contemporaries into the realm of Elton John in the first place - was still as strong as ever."

The reviewer must be a VT member (besides Grumpy Jimbo and Dr. Cheese of course).
