I'm with Kounelaki on this one, I always decide whether or not to buy a new cd by first hearing it played over a tinny supermarket PA system while deciding how many tins of baked beans to chuck in the trolley.

Whats that sudden smell of garlic and body odour? I wonder if its a French assassin...(ouch)
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

The new U2 album is crap. They scrapped songs recorded with Rick Rubin (which could have been amazing), and went for what sounds like leftovers from their last two albums.

I'm sure it'll sell amazingly.

Mmmmmm do you have demo's of the Rick Rubin songs, if so get them sold your make a fortune........ Or more likely you've never actually heard them but just like Rick Rubin, then do you not think U2 have the savvy to know if their good or bad..... I tend to believe the demo's where dumped because they were no very good.........

I like Rick Rubin and think his input would've helped them change gears. Though I've got to say, his production has been most effective when the artist has given in to his ideas. Somehow I don't think the egos of Bono & the Edge lend themselves well to taking direction. Steve Lillywhite, Daniel Lanois & Brian Eno? Been there, done that.

Hence "Get on Your Boots," the only thing I've heard off the new album. It sounds like they threw everything into a blender, including a heaping pile of "Vertigo," hit mix and this is what they got.

I used to like Rick Rubin until he cheated Danzig out of royalties and ruined Weezer. I even turned him down as a friend on MySpace. That's how cold I am.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Rick Rubin requested to be your friend? I'm impressed, you heartless bastard.

Maybe now he'll learn.

Lol. Do you use "black francis" as your MySpace name? You may have started a feud between Charles Michael Kittridge Thompson IV and Rick Rubin
