"The thing on the mouth"

Thanks Brian.

He probably doesn't need to mention that he was bladdered anymore ...

Stephen Street claims he lifted part of the bassline from Seven seas (it would seem the bass part between verse and chorus - bridge) for Everyday Is Like Sunday.

Ahh, the infamous "chasm" story.

I assume that the forthcoming biography will contain nonsensical ramblings such as this. I hope they get a good ghost writer/editor.

Is this clip from that program that was aired a year or two ago, and was supposed to be on the official forum after all the airings, but never was mentioned (or seen) again?

  You're not implying that the official forum promised something that didn't happen, are you? Shame on you.
And all the stuff you got free from them. tut tut tut ...

It looks quite recent, but it isn't the Sky Arts program that was on last year.

This website claims it was recorded 27 Jan 2009 in London. This must be one of the surprises we keep being teased with over on the official forum.

As an aside, that's a terrible camera angle used to photograph Ian. I mean, really.

I thought it was Phil Spector till I heard him speak.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I was at that show and he was fantastic. Very charismatic and looked and sounded great too. The opening band sucked and the female lead singer thought she was Ian Curtis and went all "fuck you!" to the sound guy like she was somebody important. There was a lot more than 30-40 white males there but there was one vocal group in the front middle that were so loud they broke his concentration a couple of times. It was during Lips Like Sugar that they were screaming so loud he stopped. Not because he forgot the words but he stopped the loud group "Do you want me to finish the song or not?" They also interrupted The Killing Moon and when Ian would kick a cigarette butt off the stage they would snatch it up, all take a drag and then put it in a bag. The mic was bent so they replaced it with a grey one and Mac was like I don't do grey mics so they brought a black one. Best of all he played guitar throughout.

Anyhow it was better than any Bunnymen show I've seen except Radio City.
