The wait is over! Tonight is the season premeire of the final seasons episodes!

It looks like Sci Fi is running a marathon of the first half leading up to the cliffhanger from June. My evening is officially booked.

You geeks make me laugh.

Now excuse me while I put my new Mr. Spock "The Cage" Pilot Episode action figure up with the rest of my collection here at work.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Since I want to get into this show but barely know anything about it - is it worth going DVD and starting from the beginning? Or should I spend my cash on the Wonder Woman series instead?

I liked the episode - I do think the writers threw in a few red herrings. Time will tell.

I don't think that's truly the final Cylon. It was too much of a throwaway, and it didn't explain that other person and what that person found. Question - what does a Cylon look like when he/she gets older? We've seen flashbacks of Adama and Tigh - who's to say the "revealed" Cylon isn't one of the others, but with some age on it?

I wasn't shocked at the one big death - that seems to have been telegraphed from the beginning of the episode.

By the way anybody watch the webisodes? I couldn't help but notice Felix "He puts the Gae in" Gaeta's boyfriend at his side seveal time on this episode. Not that I'm into man on man action, but I think it was pretty ball-less for the producers of this series to show their homo love affair on the internet, but only hint at it on tv.

Spoilers be damned.....

There are still many questions and maybe I am forgetting some of the history in the previous 4.5 seasons. Here goes my ramblings...

It has been stated that the final 5 are fundamentally different from the Cylons we know about. Ellen is the 5th final Cylon we are told. I think this is true. Ron Moore said he didn't want this revelation to be the story arc for the entire ending of the show so he wanted to get that out there quickly. But...she was killed by Saul, so will she be reborn somewhere? How? As an infant? Didn't Saul get one of the Six's pregnant? Is that the new Ellen?

Who is Kara really now that she found her body apparently in her real raptor and how did she see a "living earth" that she was so excited about at one point in the first half of season 4?
Why was Leoben so freaked out by Kara discovering her own body on Earth? He doesn't strike me as a type that would freak out easily, so this has to be significant.

The Hybrid said (in two episodes I think) that Kara is the harbinger of death that will lead humanity to its end. Is she the "new" Count Iblis? In the original show Count Iblis was one of the fallen Lords of Kobol. Some think that the Cylon God is the new Count Iblis since the original show did not have a Cylon God and the new show did not have a Count Ilbis. The Lords of Kobol are of course the human's gods. That would make Kara the Cylon God. I guess that would freak out Leoben after what he did to her in captivity.

Are all humans actually someone else's Cylons and every few thousand years a new breed of Cylon replaces it's parents as in "What has happened before will happen again"?
Does that mean that Centurions, Cylon Raiders, Humans, Hybrids, Final 5, The Seven Models, Lords of Kobol and the Cylon God are all just essentially different types or stages of Cylons?
There are Seven numbered models we know of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8. We never see a Model #7. Is this Kara? Or is this just a "boxed" model? We know that this has happened before.

How did mechanical Cylons leave Caprica and in only 40 years "evolve" into the seven (or 8) models? Thats a pretty big leap. Did they have help? From who? Where were they exactly? I've never quite understood this.

Are humans just another type of Cylon? Or are Cylons are just another type of human? I guess you have a chicken/egg thing now.

I could probably keep typing things like this but I will force myself to stop now and wait patiently for the next episode.

Gahhhh!

Star Wars is goofy. Battlestar Galacatica is serious shit.
