Did you get the whole array of plastic instruments plus microphone?

I've got to say - two related games I'm looking forward to:
The Beatles game from the makers of Rock Band
Guitar Hero Metallica - this one will get me clicking plastic till my fingers bleed

Dual Guitar Starter Pack and I bought a usb mic. We didn't want the drums.

Is that Beatles one going to happen for sure on Rock Band?

I'd like to see a Zeppelin, Who or AC/DC edition of Guitar Hero. That would be neat-o keen.

It's my understanding they won't tour as Led Zeppelin. And they're said to be talking with Chris Cornell...and Steven Tyler, among others.

GH3 is much better than GH-WT imo, the music isn't as good in WT and they've made it much easier, plus I've just had to request a replacement guitar as mine tends to play random notes by itself. As for the drums - tuning kit on the way from Activision as you could hit the cymbals with a hammer and they still wouldn't register a hit!
Plus I'm really bad at them. Really bad.
On the plus side the WT tour instruments are compatible with Rock Band 2 so I'm just waiting for that to come out.
BTW there's nothing like THIS in World Tour!

I've noticed that the songs are a bit harder in GH3 but at least the songs in WT are the original artists and not "as made famous by..."

I was just going to check if the WT instruments are compatible with Rock Band 2! According to this the guitars for the Wii in GHWT are not compatible with RB2.

Ahhh. I see. So they will play Led Zeppelin songs live under a different name with other singers, like travelling karaoke with famous people, but won't release master recordings to GH as Led Zeppelin because it cheapens the whole thing.

Maybe they should just get that guy from Great White and call it Great Zeppelin then. He actually does a good Plant and the first time I heard it I thought it was Zeppelin (except Plant is not American)!

They might be the original songs but it's not much consolation if they're crap in the first place.

Check out THIS UPDATED LINK which says they are!
I've been looking at the GH forum and it looks like the WT instruments will work with RB2 (but not RB1) but the Rock Band 2 instruments won't work with WT.

I rented Rock Band2 for one night to see if it would work with the GHWT instruments because one GameStop said yes, one said no, one website said yes, the other said no, etc etc.

I happy to confirm that GHWT guitars and the mic WILL work for RockBand2 on the Wii. I can't say the drums will because i don't have them. I had no problems whatsoever. This makes me happy because there is much more variety in RockBand2 songs. They have Lush for godsakes!

I reckon you should video yourself singing to Painkiller and post it on here for us to appreciate.

You gotta see Mr. Brian live man
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
