Midnight Snowflake

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Midnight Snowflake

Thanks to kounelaki for the heads up . . .

Buffalo, NY boys (we don't have much to be proud of) getting high praise for their new release - only three more days . .

On September 29, 2008 (or the 30th, depending on where you call home) MERCURY REV will release their seventh studio album, SNOWFLAKE MIDNIGHT. It includes nine new songs, each one's crystalline form completely unique. Zoom in on any part of SNOWFLAKE MIDNIGHT and at any magnification, it always reveals the forces of symmetry and chaos. Innocent, intuitive, and elusive, SNOWFLAKE MIDNIGHT never fails to resemble itself… a mirror in a mirror in a mirror.

But wait, there's more…SNOWFLAKE MIDNIGHT has its companion… STRANGE ATTRACTOR. The STRANGE ATTRACTOR full-length album includes eleven FREE tracks. That's right, this album is absolutely FREE to download for anyone who chooses to do so.

Simply click on the appropriate mailing list link to the right, give us a little information about yourself and you'll receive electronic instructions directly following the release of SNOWFLAKE MIDNIGHT. Our way of saying thanks… Enjoy!

I like how they've described the album and the songs. The imagery is perfect
for the title.

As much as I love Mercury Rev, letting their balls drop once in a while wouldn't hurt. Midnight Snowflake?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

They haven't tried since Boces.

Dude, Bon Jovi rocks almost as hard as John Mellencamp.

Midnight Snowflake was my CB handle.

sounds like you got "midnight snowflaked" as we CB enthusiasts call it.

Kind of torn on this cd. I like it the way I liked Heaven Up Here - different that challenged me to give it multiple listenings. I like the direction with computers for one cd. All Is Dream is their crowning achievement so far, though.
The band is really getting a bit too economical in the lyric department on this ablum.
