thats the question ZB. After the bbc got its last kicking from the government (weapons of mass destruction, david kelly suicide and the journo in question being sidelined to cover agricultural issues in deepest norfolk) there was a government directive for them to make more quality programs - hence the return to lots of sunday night costume drama. However we still get plenty of crap.Though it is considered to be crap on the cutting edge - do you get dog borstall? Thats a good one, and the even more cutting edge digital channels still provide you with 5000 episodes of 'two pints of lager....' on a round the clock basis, though when i say round the clock they only come on stream at 7pm.
Saw Brand on something over the weekend and he was quite funny - based on looking at old clips and then pointing out the absurdity of the situation. Said 'fuck' alot, as I mentioned previously. Good punchline but hardly 'out there'.
I also saw that the offended grand daughter of the much loved comedy actor is making the most of her 15 minutes of fame and the tabs making the most of their dual role - outrage at the disgusting actions of the two comedians whilst plastering pictues of her tits all over pages 3, 4, 5 and 6.
