Ever think of adding a paypal link for contributions?

Fishhook Girl's post made me think of this.

You know when this started I read every post but I can't keep up anymore, so I don't know which post you are referring to. (EDIT: I see the post now)

It's occurred to me, but it might seem like begging.

Actually, when you click through any of my Amazon links I get a small kickback from my Amazon Affilliate account whether it's the item you clicked on from my site or you browse to something else at Amazon. Trust me, it aint much but I get enough to get an Amazon Gift Certificate every now and then. At Christmas I always tell anyone who buys from Amazon to at least enter Amazon thru one of my links.

It does not seem like begging. You simply put a paypal link at the bottom and post "Contributions Accepted"
I wouldn;t expect more than five or ten bucks a year from ten people, though.

I would buy a Villiers Terrace t-shirt if there were one.

I am on another forum where the admin went cap in hand. I gave a modest contribution and wouldn't mind doing so here as well.

On another forum I go to if you become a "contributing member" you get special "privileges" like access to parts of the site that other, penniless, scrotes can't reach, you get to choose a custom avatar and other such whizzy things.

I am not a contributing member.

The word "member" makes me laugh.

Ok, I've been convinced, it can't hurt and it's easy enough to do. There is a PayPal button at the bottom of the forum.

Thats what she said...but seriously...

I already had a paypal account and they supply the means for the button, so I just filled in a few things and had my button code. Then I just pasted it into the forum footer.

You mean the murdered bunny on a spit?
Anyway, thanks for making this forum for us Brian. It was much appreciated.
I have been wondering, have you had any feedback from the official forum or any pressure, kudos or what have you? Just wondering.

If you must know, no pressure, Peter did send me a kind e-mail recently regarding my site. He ran a fan site too once. That's really all I care to comment on
