Thank God I can always count on Mac to tell the truth about U2 (and Geldof and Sting too). I've always thought their music was overrated and pretentious crap. Especially Sting.

With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Mr. Brian, could you write a script that will automatically generate one of these threads every few months or so? In the long run it will save a lot of typing.

I read a letter on teletext (remember that?) the other day from an outraged Irish Bunnymen fan (well, ex fan now) who claims Macs spud peeler comment was racist. Its political correctness gone mad!
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

The racist angle was brought up on the other forum too. Only a few can figure out the meaning of publicity.

That's really silly. It's just Mac being Mac. BTW, isn't he half-Irish himself?

I thought this thread might've been prompted by this little gem:

Most scousers are Irish somewhere down the line...

Sometimes I feel a little Scouser myself.

I appreciate your concern but I don't mind typing buck fono every now and then

What's weird is U2's next album is supposed to come out the same month as the Fountain (January). There goes U2 copying the Bunnymen again...
