Hi!
By the grace of God, we made it on time.
Pete didn't really "care for" Glasvegas but, being the strange woman I am, was very excited by them! I thought they were great. I'm going to try to get their CD or download a couple of songs to my phone/Ipod. I really liked their first song (unsure of the title) & Geraldine...no, I'm not jumping on the band-wagon b/c Ian likes them but, I just gave them a shot for my own opinion. I really like their style...
This show was so fantastic, happy & less "stiff" comparatively against RAH's gig. I wish I could express in words how somewhat different these 2 shows were.
RAH's gig was more "formalized" in the sense that everyone seemed tense.
It was terrific to see Ian so happy & upbeat. I hope all is going well for him. His voice was so strong & wild! I loved how he interacted w/ the audience a bit too, I hope he does this in Liverpool, I'm so stoked to be going to that too. When he is so happy like this, even his singing is even more terrific. That raincoat is such a trademark!
Will looked fantastic as he did w/ his stylish clothes! He dressed in 2 suits at RAH & people around us commented the same thing. I appreciated his guitar style even more especially during certain songs. He has TRUE talent! I also would like to comment that I appreciate more now even that I've seen his style in different venues, his musicianship is great as I never really appreciated it before now, I realize how great he is.
I got to meet Mr. Brian & Epsilon, which was cool to talk w/ them. It was great to put a name to a face & I apologized even to Mr. Brian for my insane posts!! LOL
We drove to the Beauty Bar but, due to an unforseen phone call which was work related, we had to immediately depart, which SUCKED but, when you work for where we work, that's how life happens & we had to be professional/boring/responsible about it. I hope everyone had a great time, as I'm sure you all did. Likewise, I'm glad I took the challenge of going but, work happens...
I have to say that in comparison between these 2 gigs, I will admit that, this was more "lively" & "fun" than RAH but, that's strictly my opinion & who am I? Likewise, I'm really anticipating flying back to Liverpool, visiting the city again & of course, celebrating w/ the band for the month of their 30th anniversary in their hometown. This time though, if there's a meet-up there, we CAN go b/c we have the time off & won't get calls in another country (which is nice)!
I will lastly state that, I would've liked to have met some of you whom I've talked w/ kindly on this site but, it was unfortunate it happened this way. I hope that all of you had safe travels & a great time that night, we did! :)
Liverpool, here we come......
