With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Echo Arena, since Glasvegas would be opening for them? Peter was
going to get the answer. It would probably apply to RCMH too. I would
think they would have to play more than just the 9 Ocean Rain songs,
but it's been 4 days with no answer yet. I hope 2 sets.

It looks like they are still doing two sets according the article posted here:

At Radio City, Echo & the Bunnymen will begin with a set of non-"Ocean Rain" material, so fans stand a chance of hearing "Lips Like Sugar," "Bedbugs and Ballyhoo," "The Back Of Love and" "Rescue." The Scottish band Glasvegas will open the show.

What about "Jessie's Girl"? That's non-"Ocean Rain" material, and a real crowd-pleaser to boot.

lol, my friend Donna just said "who are you going to see again? Oingo Boingo?"

The boys are back in town, or more like, in NYC for the first time.
Blackfrancis and Mr. Brian have officially started their romantic
adventure together ... can't wait to hear about the Annex tonight.
Should be quite the evening. Be gentle fangirls.

Ohhh I hope you got more Uncle Hip! Boy, you're fast with that.

Sorry I didn't go to the Beauty Bar. I just didn't feel well and there is a two hour delay in between trains to go home.

The show was fantastic and just exceeded my expectations emotionally.
Mac looked so great, and sounded so vibrant, his voice was in perfect form, especially during the first half. Here's the set list from that first half:

Lips Like Sugar

Rescue

Dancing Horses

I Think I Need It Too

The Disease

All That Jazz

Back of Love

All My Colours

People are Strange (the crowd loved it)

Nothing Lasts Forever/Walk On the Wild Side/In The Midnight Hour

The Cutter

The crowd was so good too. I felt so much enthusiasm coming from the crowd but more than that was a reverence that felt so good to me and you could just see how uplifted Mac was. It was wonderful to see how happy he was.

Will was as magnficent as ever, his guitar blistering though Rescue. I Think I Need It Too sounds better and better to me every time I hear it.

There were real swoon moments when Mac segued from Nothing Lasts Forever/Walk on the Wild Side and into In The Midnight Hour. Yes, very very swoonworthy!

The meet was so much fun! It was great to see so many people there from the forum and see them interact just the same way they do here, especially withahip, BF, Jack and Brian

Epsilon, Electrabunny, Snowbunny, Staci, In The Margins, Zabird, Archivistmgc, and Octavia, it was so nice to meet or see you girls! I hope I didn't leave anybody out but it's 4am! I loved every minute. The meet was a blast. It was also nice to meet Cary and Tomo, Nano and Mrs Nano and other people who came from all over the country to be at this show. Of course I had a great time with my fangirls, Blinki, Red and Rusty! I hope you all get home safely and danced your feet off at the Beauty Bar!

I can't really think of a better show that I've been to. Nothing will ever match this one for its emotions. Ocean Rain made me cry my eyes out. The pictures flashing by, Mac's emotions coming through his magnificent voice, the splendid orchestra, it all got to me! Sniffle, sniffle and blow me nose!

I thought the show was phenomenal. The high point for me was "My Kingdom". Everything exceeded my expectations.

I thought something seemed off during "Thorn of Crowns". Was something going on there? (The strings were used to especially good effect during that song, btw.)

So, he did it again!?
The suspense was major at the RAH for that.
We got to hear Ian soundchecking from outside beforehand.
I'm delighted for them that they made a success of these shows, contrary to many expectations.
Every word is like an unnecessary stain on silence and nothingness.

Yeah, I felt crappy myself, so I bailed soon after getting there. Withahip was sighted getting into a cab on 14th, so I guess he was not there either. (I hope he was able to communicate his destination to the cab driver.)
