The Official Radio City Meet up thread

Postby Mr. Brian » Mon Sep 22, 2008 12:54 pm

Edit on September 30th:
For those looking we chose Pig n Whistle: http://www.pignwhistlets.com/ at 4pm before the show for the meet up. See everyone there. We should have a great group!

[s]Time to choose a meet up place for before the October 1st show. These are the 3 most solid choices, but if you have another idea please add it below and let's try to keep the thread on topic so folks don't have to weed through pages and pages of comments that are unrelated.

pig n whistle: http://www.pignwhistlets.com/
maggie's place: http://www.maggiesnyc.com
o'neills: http://www.irishpubny.com

I'll wait for some more suggestions before adding the poll if it is even necessary.

My vote is for Pig n Whistle and I base that on nothing more than their website and proximity to Radio City

Here is a link to the old (now closed) thread that went to 20 pages. It has useful info.[/s]

Pig 'n' whistle's good for me too ... I like the name

And perhaps post-show, if there's no official do, an afterparty at Mr. B and Black Francis' favorite on their pub crawl?

7 votes for Pig N Whistle so far with no objections. (black francis didn't actually say, so I didn't count him).

It's looking like this is the place although there were about 8 others that post here who have not come forward so we'll let it ride until the weekend. If you know who they are then PM them or e-mail them with the link to the thread so at least everyone knows whats up.

I will not be in NY on the day but have a drink for me and toast my birthday

I would love to be there but work and children force me to stay at home

Hey Guys,

I wanted to let you all know that I will be coordinating with the hosts of the official Radio City after-party, which will be held at The Beauty Bar, 231 E. 14th St. This event is invite only, and there should be a few familiar faces in attendance.

I want to give all of you the opportunity to make the after-party with me. The night before the after-party, Oct. 1st, I'll be doing another Echo tribute night at The Annex, 152 Orchard Street. From 11-12, I'll be spinning Echo & the Bunnymen and there will be an OPEN BAR. There is NO COVER. If you make it out to The Annex, we'll be giving out free passes to the VIP After-party.

I hope to see all of you there!

Mr. Brian and Black Francis ... looks like you're gonna have to get your carriage driver to make a detour over to the Annex
