emiliana torrini

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Your capacity for self pity is truly a thing of beauty.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I bought her first album, Love in the Time of Science, even if it was a poor rip-off of Bjork, after seeing the video to "Unemployed in the Summertime" and thinking she was fit. Second album was a dull folky affair. Judging by the first single off the album on MySpace, she's gone back towards that Bjorky sound again. I didn't know that she was still around. She's still fit.

A dead on assessment imho. That song on the first cd that starts "Scatterbarined/ Crying in the rain" was pop greatness. Then she, like The Killers on their second cd, tried to go Americana. don't.

I've come to her late WAH, but must say I am really loving her work. Her last album (Me and Armini) is first rate. Also really like Fishermans Woman.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

Most people I have met from that way in the past have been as mad as hatters. Seems to be something in the Scandinavian psyche. Emiliana Torrini is half Italian so you'd think that she'd be a bit more sane. Actually, thinking about it, Italians are nuts as well. Not a great combination then.
