throw everything else away! it's the best thing i've ever found and it's my bible when i'm in the city! i recommend it to everyone and they always tell me it was a great help! :-) it's small, which is one of its best features. it opens up by section and EVERY street is on there, so you can't get lost with it!! there's a few reviews on that link, if you wanna read more.

Nah, it's not like the old days. People don't really get mugged in NY anymore, it seems. You will look like a dork, though.

the book is small.......and besides, i'd rather look like a dork , than spend hours being lost! (i know my way around the city pretty well, but that book sure does save a lot of time!)

i got one a while back (from Red's recommendation) and it is helpful. they also make one for london, and lots of other major cities. i like drawing on the little maps the places i like to go to, so they are easier to find when i go back next time
