Glasgow accent term?

Postby Mr. Brian » Sat Aug 30, 2008 12:41 am

Someone used a term to describe the Glasgow accent. It may be derogatory, I have no idea. For some reason I am obsessed with finding it but can't. I know it was in regard to Glasvegas and Scouser may have been the poster. Anyone remember or know what that term is?

Maybe it wasn't specific to Glasgow and referred to a Scottish accent in general but I thought it was

They get called Jocks down South but that isn't about the accent.

Where are the Brits around here?

Laughing at us.

I was pretty sure it was in reference to the way the guy in Glasvegas sings but I've searched and read through those threads

I'll think you'll find that should be Weegies. A wegie (or wedgie) is quite different.

Since it's currently between 3pm and 5pm of a Saturday afternoon I'd guess most are watching the fitba.
