McCain - Palin

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

John McCain already has 2 sons serving in Iraq. I think this move of his to choose this particular woman is a very smart move on his part. Gov. Palin seems to really be 'the American Dream' to me! Nobody handed her anything. She's had a very interesting life.
I think she will be very inspiring to women and it is an amazing election year to think that either a black man will be president or a woman will be vice president next year.

Nobody's talking about Obama's acceptance speech today: http://forum.villiersterrace.com/viewto ... 6791#16791

It doesn't matter if they're not saying anything today. Last night they said that speech will go down in history as one of the greatest, if not THE greatest speech in American history.
What I don't understand is that Obama laid out at least 29 specific plans for change in that speech and critics still said when it was over that there were no specifics?

What I also don't understand is that if McCain and Obama are completely tied, 50/50, then why don't the Republicans rent out a football stadium for the convention also? I understand they're having a problem getting 10,000 to commit. Where's all his loyal followers?

She's anti-abortion, even in cases of rape or incest. She supports drilling in ANWR, and despite her words of admiration for Senator Clinton today, she says she doesn't like Hillary's "whining".

Pretty sure she's not a Democrat

So I hear the new potential GOP veep Laura Roslin, er I mean Sarah Palin (must be the lesbian glasses and suits), is under an ethics investigation that could get her impeached as governor? The report is due 4 days before the election?

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/washin ... ing_e.html

McCain has been quoted as saying: doh!

Come to think of it McCain looks like Col. Tigh! What the fuck is going on?? Khaaaan! Oh wrong show.

Laura Roslin from Battlestar Galactica:

Palin question for the ladies:

Do you think Palin does her own makeup?
If so, how long does it take her to do it?
While doing he makeup, can she focus on world issues or does it take too much effort to do so?

The truth is that the country has been evenly divided in almost every election including Bill Clinton's. It will be another close race and more belly aching from the losing side.

Moondance, all in jest.

Men just don't realize women invented 'multi-tasking'. Putting on
make-up, helping run the greatest nation in the world, and raising
a family, all in a day's work. Just another day at the office!
You put your lips to her lips to stop the lie.

That's why I think, if it IS true that Republicans are monkeying around with election results via Diebold or having people disappear with ballot boxes or putting up false flyers about where and when to vote (this one DID happen) and all the other things I've heard about then we will most definitely have 4 years Tight/Roslin.

What a coincidence - she's a stupid condescending choice as a running mate.

Gee, ladies (PUMAs - you know who you are) - we know you're awfully sore that Hillary's not the nominee and didn't make the ticket. Here's your chance to cast your vote for a candidate with a vagina. Never mind that you're moderate or liberal that you believe strongly in a woman's right to choose and that she's a uber-conservative anti-abortionist. Sarah Palin has a uterus and knows how to use it.

The Spice Girls said it best: "Girl Power!"
