Glasvegas album out Tuesday - September 9. It sounds great! A fantastic warm-up band that will make the diversity and uniqueness of Echo & The Bunnymen's Ocean Rain even more amazing!

The Ian McCulloch has picked his mates the oober cool and amazing Glasvegas to support the Bunnymen not just at the bands Ocean Rain performance but also at the bands Liverpool Ocean Rain show. The Royal Albert Hall has just released a limited number of extra seated tickets for the previously sold out show, but be quick they will sell fast fast fast.

Holy crap they're playing the ottobar? That would be a good show.

Got the cd, finally. It is good but not great. Get the feeling the band was rushed to make a complete cd while there was still some buzz around Daddy's Gone and Geraldine. "Stabbed" is downright terrible on the cd with it's spoken word lyrics and minor key piano riff. Pales in comparison to The Jam's "Down In A Tube Station." Still, songs like Lonesome Swan and S.A.D. Light just take a bit more time but they definitely do not have the immediacy of their first two singles. The songs do sound like sing alongs for punters with pints swaying back and forth.

Still, James Allan's voice and the shoegaze guitar will be a joy to hear live at RCMH.

I agree with this completely. The CD was not as good as Iwas expecting based on what I'd heard but I am looking forward to seeing them live. They do a song called "Whitey" that I've heard that I like a lot too.
