Hey uh did we ever agree on a meetup place? Keep in mind Dennys does in fact serve beer.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

I'm having a tough time finding anyone to go with me mainly due to it being a Wednesday, there is still a possibility my wife would go but that would double our expenses and cause a child care issue and it's just not looking good.
Is anyone traveling to NY that would be willing to share a hotel room expense? I guess that's my biggest thing at this point. I'm really not that worried about unloading the ticket. I still need to get a yes or no from my wife but I am fishing for alternatives if that doesn't work out.

It seems like from several PM's I have some roomie options available if Mrs. Brian bails. I just need to get her to confirm or not. Thanks everyone! It looks like I will be going no matter what!

I am going to go on the assumption that you are all nice people and not obnoxious in person. Like me!

Why wouldn't I be obnoxious in person?

Seven Seas had some good pub suggestions. In the interest of maybe drinking as close as we can to the venue, I started poking around the web, looking for a place close to RCMH. Here's what I found within a 5 block radius of Radio City:
maggie's place:
http://www.maggiesnyc.com
o'neills:
http://www.irishpubny.com
pig n whistle:
http://www.pignwhistlets.com/
and man, do i wish Swift's was in walking distance. I lived in NYC for 8 years and never came across this place. mr. octavia visits NYC last summer and finds it right away. That's some English nose for ya! Highly recommended for those staying more than 1 night in nyc.
what you guys think?

just tell me when and where ... if I can get some halfway decent pub grub and a shandy or two, I'll be happy
Oh, and to see the boys in their tuxes and capes, of course

What zabird said.
Just no college crowds and a minimum on the neon. I don't think that's asking too much.
