Regeneration tour 2009, Bunnymen on list...

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

I'm not making fun of you. I'm saying that is a silly statement for the Bunnymen camp to make. They have a history of lowering "them selfs" that includes playing with the Spice Girls, resigning "them selfs" to playing the oldies circuit (with the same setlist since God knows when) and I'm pretty sure I read somewhere they played a wedding. All of which is perfectly fine but please spare us the "Bunnymen would never lower them selfs to play such a joke tour" crap cause if the money is right it could definitely happen. Then we'll be getting a newsletter exhalting the 2009 Regeneration Tour and the mass audience the Bunnymen will be reaching.

And to be so short with a fan who is obviously just excited about the band is a dick move.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Thank you for explaining, BF b/c seriously, I didn't understand! lol

As for the band playing, 2009 is a long way off but, I went to the 2008 gig of this & yes, I felt old but, the bands ROCKED. Plus, it wasn't all pointless like we were all poseurs or anything. We just were all in the same age bracket. Plus, on a good note, it would bring fans of all ages together.

AND>>>>>>YES, they sold items there, mostly old LP's & t-shirts AND.....they sold quite a few that night!! So, if the band wants to regenerate as the name states & make more $$$ then, maybe they'll do it.

However, life HAS WENT ON....& I hope things will remain upward in the future, w/ The Fountain coming out & these next 3 major-city gigs, the last thing the band needs is crap.

Plus, I wasn't talking trash either in my thoughts here regarding why the person posted what they did on the post. I just thought I would post it b/c I didn't see it on the board, it related to the band & I wondered personally whether or not the band might even consider it.

Finally, I know the management/Peter/whomever DOES hard work to keep things active, up-to-date & highlighted I mean, I have no time to do something like that so, I give them much credit.

People DO change, improve & develop positively!!! :)

I'd like to see the band with Mark Hollis and another band or two that have been putting music out that people may have forgotten about . . .

The Bunnymen might never lower "them selfs" to such a "joke tour" (and never say never, boys!), but they sure don't mind lowering themselves grammatically. Sorry, but that one is wince worthy

meanwhile, one of those '80s shows has just been announced in Southern California: The Furs, Devo, Blondie, Billy Idol and -- God only knows why -- REO Speedwagon and Twisted Sister.

It saddens me that Twisted Sister and the Furs would be on the same bill. I guess we all have bills to pay.

Get ready for the Bunnymen and Wang Chung in 2009.

I'm holding out for the Bunnymen/Naked Eyes/When In Rome tour.

I hope that's not a dig at When in Rome Jack.

I don't think you need to worry

Oh I dunno, I heard that he died but they may get a replacement like INXS did and do a tour or reality show.

Oh no you DID NOT just take a stab at Rockwell.

Maybe Mac can do the Michael Jackson parts of Rockwell's "Somebody's Watching Me"? then Noel Burke can fill in for Kevin Dubrow. Then I'd go.
