Hey, I just assumed everyone here was of the age that we weren't living with our brothers/sisters and raiding their bedrooms. I didn't think we had any youngsters here.

Perhaps Moondance is an Italian male?

ROME - For most Italian single men, inviting a girlfriend home is a dangerous affair: If the visit is not planned carefully, they run the big risk of bumping into the other woman in their lives — their mother.

Italian men, in fact, still find it too difficult to cleanly sever the umbilical cord, and end up staying at home with their parents well into their 30s.

Now experts believe that the nationwide Oedipal complex might cause more serious damage than the endless complaints of aspiring wives: men's chronic refusal to move on might be responsible for the drastic decline of Italy’s birth rate.

Batman star Christian Bale was arrested Tuesday over allegations of assault, British media reported.

British media had reported that Bale's mother and sister complained they were assaulted by the 34-year-old actor at the Dorchester Hotel in London on Sunday night, a day before the European premiere of his latest film, "The Dark Knight."

The women made the allegation at a local police station in southern England on Monday, Britain's Press Association news agency said. It later said Bale had been arrested, citing "police sources."

Asked whether Bale was in custody, a police spokesman did not refer to him by name but said: "A 34-year-old man attended a central London police station this morning by appointment and was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault."

Well, it was a "verbal assault" reported in a foreign country - the night before the premier . . .. . so I don't want to blame the victim, but you know - think mom might be off her rocker?

"Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister," Allen said in a statement.

"Mr. Bale, who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police."

they are, and being a proud race they were probably berating the actor chappy over his wildly meandering accent. I have no idea what its like in the film but being interviewed on the radio yesterday it went from dick van dyke cockney to mid atlantic to slightly more americanish to welsh and back to DV-D cockney in the space of one sentence.

Maybe he's getting into character for Prestige 2.
