See they played that at T.

Bit different right but symptomatic of new album.

I must have missed it. They started with Rescue, then I lost the connection for a few mins (I was listening over the phone). Next I heard was Dancing Horses, didn't think I'd missed a whole song or 2. The Back of Love was after I Think I Need It Too. The rest of the set they quote is right, but in slightly the wrong order.
From what I could hear over the crackly line the vocals were a bit up and down eg The Killing Moon sounded good, while The Back of Love sounded really croaky. I'll reserve judgement till I hear a better quality version if anyone puts it on youtube.

I was there. Got complimentary tix late on Friday night, a nice surprise.

They definitely did not play Lost on You, or King of Your Castle.

I dont know how many can fit in the tent, I reckon about 8000. From what I could see it was pretty full.

Opened with Rescue, played the "safe" festival hits, plus I Think I Need It Too, which sounded far better than at the Liverpool shows.

The Cutter was the best I have ever heard it live. Outside, after the show, loads of people were singing "lips" Heard lots of compliments about how good they were, best so far etc.

Macs voice was immense. A couple of waivers on some high notes, but better than I have heard the past few years.

Will.......what a star. No shoegazing, he was rattling the guitar all over the place, never seen him move so much in 45mins, looked like he was loving it.

Nice to see so many youngens in the audience, joining in with Mac on Walk on the Wildside -- obviously not your regular Bunnymen giggers judging by their enthusiasm.

Just found this mini review:

DiS shoves to the front for Echo & The Bunnymen, who attract an entirely different crowd. We wonder if their place on the bill was at the request of headliners Coldplay, who are well-known for their love of the mighty Bunnymen. Anyhow, it’s been ages since DiS saw the Bunnies and ages since we listened to them, but we’re delighted that they stick to a proper festival set of songs – ie. the ‘hits’. So we get ‘Rescue’, ‘Heads Will Roll’, ‘The Cutter’, ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’, ‘Seven Seas’, ‘The Killing Moon’, ‘The Back Of Love’, ‘Bring on the Dancing Horses’ and ‘Lips Like Sugar’. The Bunnies aren’t really made for this kind of slot at a festival. It must be humiliating to be placed after The Darkness and before the Sugababes. Mac is uncharacteristically quiet inbetween songs. Disappointing there. But the set is top-notch, and DiS wants to join their band. That would be cool.

CLICKY

This interesting snippet is from the Coldplay review:

The set includes two new songs which both sound like the Bunnymen’s ‘Lips Like Sugar’. Curiouser and curiouser. Several encores later, which included some very nice green lasers for ‘Clocks’, Ian McCulloch joins them onstage and the band get to live out their We ARE Echo And The Bunnymen fantasy as they play, you guessed it, ‘Lips Like Sugar’ (“one of the greatest songs ever,” they say).
