Culture Catch Interview w/ Ian from 2006

Postby electrabunny » Wed Jul 02, 2008 10:18 pm

Has anyone seen this interview? I found it recently on youtube - posted about 2 weeks ago. I did a search on this forum first to see if had been discussed before and didn't see any posts about it. I hate to bring up something that has already been seen but for those who haven't yet, it's a pretty good interview.

I like the part where the interviewer asks to what you attribute your longevity to and Ian's response is "pep pills...and loads of drink"

Here are the videos:

pep pills - speed. Didn't some folks get royally pissed off when this was talked about before?
Now that Ian mentions it, is it ok if we do?

I posted it on there last night, and the second one is great - about the killing moon.

Quite frankly I don't care what keeps us going as long as it does the job.

Its how you feel about yourself that matters.

Do you think Mac feels s**t about himself?

That's bullshit. I am shelling out some serious money for tix, transportation and lodgings to see this Ocean Rain gig. If Mac is flying high and can't sing, it definitely matters.

He's an entertainer. He better be thinking about his audience. Otherwise, call it a day.

That's why some of his personal life IS fair game if it affects his performances that we all pay money for.

Hey, reimburse me about a thousand bucks for Mac's self indulgent coke habit and cig smoking after I fly out to NYC and I will be totally carefree.

Is it just me or am I seeing a difference in the expectations of genders among westerners?

Guess what fella, everyone else seeing them this year is paying a fortune to do so. Not just you. I'm paying more for a hotel room than I just paid yesterday for maintenance on my car. At the dealer. So shut up about how much it's going to cost you.

Secondly, if you have such a low opinion of MAC then why put yourself through this? I'm sure you could sell your tickets on ebay and spare us all the pissing and moaning.

Have a good day.

Do we really have to do the "if you don't like it leave" routine? They do it so well on the other forum I say we shouldn't even bother.

Saying Mac is shit is just as valid an opinion as saying Mac is brilliant.

Or you can flip flop multiple times on the subject like I do.

Regardless if we start driving off people because we don't like their opinions this will turn into a shit forum real quick.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts
