I can't bear to hear him honk through that and I am very nervous about the Radio City gig. yeah it's NYC and yeah it's with an orchestra and yeah it's a great venue but if the last thing I hear is him honking through Ocean Rain it will ruin the whole thing.

I'm guessing that any honking wouldn't be noticeable unless we listen to a recording of the show. Usually the excitement of a live show and the subtle nuances of the performance (as well as the dynamics of being in a crowd) outweigh the honking effect.

That being said, I hope there's no croaking like there was for the California shows recorded for the 2005 tour. Spare us the croaking!

Honking to us means being sick.

And croaking dying.

Yes it is a fact supported by science. Here is the formula:

In this case there are parallels I guess but in the colonies honk equates to goose-like sounds and croaking can still be dying but also means a frog-like sound in this context.

Also croaking can mean a raspiness so severe it's painful to listen to. Like his throat is so raw and inflamed it must be painful to sing. Now I'm grossing myself out.

The band has to play slower and slower for him to keep up too. I was pretty saddened by the performance I have to say.

I forget where it is on the forum but there was a YouTube clip where Mac sang the Killing Moon with a different band and they played it more aggressive and he did really well with it.

Sometimes I think the Killing Moon is played with too much reverence by the Bunnymen. It's best played with a bit of aggression.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Well if I was unsure about attending the Echo Arena gig before I'm not any more, I think I'll have a break from live Bunnymen this year.

I think it's wonderful you've made a decision. And I really mean that. But please (and I mean this with the utmost of respect) don't ruin it for those of us who have decided to see the band this year. Okay?

But you're going to the New York gig right? Me, Jack and withahip in the same room? Pure awesome. It's gonna look like something below. You can be the fourth in the picture.

The one dude is getting no air at all. I hope I do better than that when the time comes.
