Celebs/ artist guilty pleasures

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

what about Celebs/ artists that you are ashemd to admit to liking or being a fan off

I wear my shame with pride

Bary Manilow
Girls Aloud ( but that is for obvious reasons ) -- I saw Nadine Coyle in the flesh once -- I was standing right beside her --- all I can say is that the 2D camera does lie --- very very nice .......

Dr. C -- if it's a powder blue leisure suit jacket, don't go anywhere!

Duran Duran fan here too, and I'll admit a fondness for the Dead back in the day

Ditto, ditto and ditto.

Saw Howard Jones live at RPI in '84 or thereabouts. He was very popular that year.

I remember seeing AFOS on THE MERV GRIFFIN SHOW. I think they have some actual importance, sort of in the same class as Gary Numan.

ELO's Journey album. Snobs try to tell me their earlier adv ant stuff is so much better. Ugh - it is like listening to early YES (or anything by YES). Sorry if there are any YES fans - but I think Spinal Tap was based in large part on that band.

I still have a soft spot (probably between my ears) for Kid Creole and The Coconuts, I rarely play them these days but I saw them twice when they were in their prime and they were two of the best gigs I've ever been to. And The Coconuts were hot!

Duran Duran
Steely Dan
Ive also got a liking for some 70's soft rock - 10cc, Supertramp, Hall & Oates, Foreigner, Fleetwood Mac etc. I could never survive an entire album but Ive got a great playlist on my Ipod!

I'll get me coat
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

this lot used to get on my nerves but one of my mates, back in the sixth form when exams were really hard, used to play it over and over again and bang on about how good it was. So as I enter my dotage I have a sort of nostalgic affection for them, even though that blokes voice still sets my teeth on edge.

In the eighties I quite liked haircut 100, though never quite got into the woolly jummie tied around the neck look. I even bought some compilation a while ago because it had favourite shirts, or that other one, on it.

ah...top band. though why do they call them a band when they aren't. And not to dis the 'loud in anyway at all I'd have to say, if pushed, that I prefer the sugababes myself. I mean when they are singing about 'pushing the button', what can they possibly mean. or perhaps i'm reading too much into that one.
