Glasvegas!!

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Walk about a mile out of Glasgow town centre in any direction and your fucking dead!

Or eat in any fast food joint and marvel as everything is thrown into the fat - even Mars bars.

But back to Glasvegas - very promising band and one I'll deffo keep an eye on. Despite the Alan Mcgee connection.
Mr. Brian, I find that offensive.

Scouser's inability to se others' point of view is rather grating.

If it weren't for Mcgee many of us wouldn't have heard of them.

Mcgee will be in England this summer filming the next tv series of Death Disco TV which now seems to be a world wide cult success in places as far reaching as China and Russia and also in the first series was the first ever television footage of Mcgee's favourite new UK band Glasvegas which helped get them signed to ironically Sony.

For the record, Ian currently digs Glasvegas,

Hope they don't get too popular because then they will have angry middle aged Bunnymen forum fans screaming that they ripped off the Bunnymen.

It does seem that some are all enamored by the Bunnymen inspired bands "ah aint that cute it's 1983 again!", then when they blow into the top 10 and start selling out arenas..."the outrage! they would would be nothing if not for the Bunnymen and Mac's encouraging words, [insert band name here> should be opening for the Bunnymen and bowing down at their altar"

http://pitchfork.com/news/41613-glasveg ... ore-album/

Two years ago, Brit-rock wailers Glasvegas earned themselves a ton of ink, virtual and otherwise, for their self-titled debut album. And on April 4, Columbia will release their follow-up, EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \\\, in the UK. (Copy editors are going to love that title.) The album will come out in the U.S. this spring.

The band recorded the album with 90s-rock production legend Flood, who knows exactly how to record a band like this. You'll find the tracklist below. The band has a ton of dates coming up in the UK and Ireland; we've got them listed out below. Watch the trailer for the album below, and listen to "The World Is Yours" up above.
