Geeks - cool or what?

Tired of discussing the Bunnymen and all the bands that have been influenced by them? This is the place for you.

now we are getting geeky

this thread is hotting up

dd you all know that

Chronic active Epstein Barr virus (EBV)-infection is characterized by mononucleosis like symptoms including fatigue, lymphadenopathy and/or hepatosplenomegaly and serologic evidence for ongoing EBV replication. Interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) triggers several antiviral mechanisms in target cells including the induction of indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenase (IDO), which degrades the essential amino acid tryptophan to kynurenine. Because tryptophan is a precursor of the neurotransmitter 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), tryptophan depletion by IDO can cause mood disturbances in patients with chronic immune activation.

I know that people prone to depression are advised to eat foods rich in tryptophan, such as turkey.

Why would you go out to hate someone other than Coldplay?

I like the anatomical / psychological / personable digressions on this thread.

3.142 = Pi to three digits - is it right to round it?

Yeah you gotta round it. What other choice do you have? Truncation? That doesn't make any sense. I usually go to 3.14159. Beyond that I have trouble remembering.

Sexy robots and aliens that kill are scary. Remember that woman from species? They don't have to be fancy geeks - just ones you like.
