Sigur Ros announce NYC show!

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Typing on a macbook sucks.

Why? There's really not that big a difference. You get used to the key combinations after a while ;)

For about eight years it was QWERTY at home in the morning then AZERTY at the office in the afternoon. Brutal.

i remember when i bought the cd/dvd when it 1st came out. my son walked thru the room and stayed to watch it and i think he was scarred for life! (all the videos on that one were so depressing!)

i just recently bought their Heima dvd (HIGHLY recommend it) and he watched that entire thing, glued to the chair. glad he saw it so he wouldn't think everything they did was depressing! he watched it like 2 more times too. he even wanted to go with me to see them in NYC. but i couldn't get tickets. :-(

now i'm depressed again....thanks Bri!

WTF??? You're only allowed to buy 4 max....so don't be surprised if you get another email saying two were taken back! Ticketmaster told me to keep checking the website because after a day or so the computer will kick out any one that got more than 4 and they will be made available for sale again. (and that did happen when looloo bought 2 sets of 4 for Morrissey last year, they took 4 back from her)

i wish you luck with that, really ......but you still suck!

;-)

wanna sell one??????????????????????????????????????

what a bastard!

he's probably gonna buy them himself and sell them on ebay!

Sorry, but i've the tickets and hotel has confirmed that I have six tickets...... Looks like the Hotel has contacts in the Manhattan Center Grand Ballroom .....

In my experience Hotels in New York can get you anything, I went to New York a few years ago and U2 were playing Madison Sq Gardens whilst we were over. When we booked into the hotel they offered to get us face value tickets for the show from their contacts in the venue........ Despite the fact the show was totally sold out ......

As I said New York Hotels know how important customer service is, bearing in mind the six of us are spending almost $6,000 to stay in said hotel for the week, they will bend over backwards to ensure when we visit again they get our booking and we recommend them to our mates .......

Jimbo......

Ps..... If any are spare i'll let you know ..........

fuck! @ 6 grand they better bend over backwards! i sorta figured you had to be in a high end place to get that kind of service. but you can do that with the exchange rates. i can't even afford to stay in the city, i usually end up driving back home after a gig!

well, good for you getting those tix.! (honestly) :-)
wish i woud have known - i would have had you get my 3 along with yours!

oh hey - if you have any spares, i'd have to know the day before...or at least by noon. it takes me 4 hours just to make the drive! (with no traffic) (so if someone decides at the last minute they don't wanna go, it won't do me any good.) :-(

Call me old, old Uncle Hip - but I wish there more left of center concerts like Sigur Ros and the Cocteau Twins one could sit and chill out and just enjoy. Dear lord, I am going to end up at one of Rod Stewart's Songbook tours soon.

Those are JAck T's legs by the way.
