Cope's cool as fuck. His work both written and musical is testament to that. His shows over the last 15-20 years have been challenging, provocative, inspiring, and most importantly, honest.

Fine, he's been petulant, but rather a petulant foolish and wrong than condescending, lazy and 2nd hand.

I'd actually love Mac to rise to the challenge. There's considerable latent weirdness in Mac (just like Mr Sumner too) if he can stop walking round like a small town councillor and fucking concentrate on giving his best. And weirdest. Consistently. Mac needs to push himself artisticallly IMHO. Hard.

Cope is loud brash and up his own arse. But Kiliminjaro was a masterpiece.
