Whats the deal?
How does he stand in AMerican folklore
I just dont rate him.
JackT wrote:Mmm... Brandon seem to like him okay. He seemed to always be telling everyone, "You're not my father", which got old. He caused problems between Brenda and Kelly, too, which is kind of crappy.

With someone like Dylan you have to put him in the context of his times as well as not confuse the real Dylan with the caricature or parody that everyone has of him. That's hard to do.

The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan - Bob Dylan (1963)
Worth it for the work of art cover alone that tells a million stories itself. Listen to the original "Blowin' In The Wind" in context and the veil will be lifted. It was like a religious awakening to finally understand the genius of Dylan. When people like Elvis, Dylan or Lennon get simultaneously elevated and parodied like they did, it's easy to lose track of who they really were.
Standout track: Don't Think Twice It's Alright
Dylan is the like the original Star Trek, sometimes just brilliant, other times just embarrassing as can be.
