Parent sacrifices

Postby Malbert » Mon Mar 26, 2012 9:12 am

After saying to my husband yesterday, "I went to three concerts last year, and now that my Ian McCulloch show was trashed, I don't have anything lined up this year." And he very earnestly said, "You don't want to see Big Time Rush with (my 9 yr. old)?" And I said, "Um, not really, no." and then he proceded to give me a "you-should-go-it-will-make-her-so-happy" speech (and I unsuccessfully gave HIM the "YOU-should-take-her-it-will-make-her-extra-happy speech). I looked online and saw that I didn't have the "It's on a school night" excuse (damn that summer break)! I ended up buying two tickets. My daughter will have the time of her life, and any misery I suffer from going will be trumped by her joy in attending. She doesn't know she's going, but she's been up my ass asking about it for a good two weeks.

Rather than the "and I unsuccessfully gave HIM the "YOU-should-take-her-it-will-make-her-extra-happy speech" maybe you should have attempted the "I'll do that thing you like, hun" speech.

The man is more stubborn than I; if he doesn't want to go, no amount of fellatio will make him change his mind.

That's not a good move on his part. Where's your incentive to do it now?

There is none. I'm already mentally prepared to attend the concert.

What the fuck is fellatio?
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Children and fellatio should not be mentioned in the same thread IMO.

I think there's a problem if it's mentioned in the same sentence. And VB started it with his filthy mind. This thread was derailed in record breaking time.

How dare you. Go and wash your mouth out, after your earlier post it may not be a bad idea.

Have you considered dropping your family's health care insurance and hiring someone else to take your child to a show neither one of you want to spend time with her at?

It's not that I don't want to spend time with HER; I don't want to spend time with Big Time Rush.
