Sorry girlwithnoname, back to the thread. My current tipple being Red Stripe, that delicious Jamaican beer brewed in the tropical paradise of Bedford, UK.

As the Butte was sold out, I have to settle for a Guinness Extra Stout this evening as my beverage. Poor, sad me.

Tonight, in belated honor of the inaugural International IPA Day (August 4), I will be drinking lots of Pliny the Elder, from the Russian River Brewing Company. Can't wait!

I just had Little Sumpin' Wild Ale, which is twice the strength of a normal beer. Whee! I don't think I will be driving anywhere this evening.

went off 'beer' type beer a few years ago so i'm a guinness chap these days, interspersed with cheap polish lager. My mates a real ale type chap and evenings of quaffing rank cloudy 'real' beer are quite awful. Having said that I was in Burton last year and took the opportunity to sample some Burton Ale & Bass which I hadn't had for ages and it was jolly nice. Gave me the squits though. Out of practice I suppose.

The squits?

Had a nice bottle of Firestone Parabola reserve series.

Sadly did not give me the squits though.

My fave beer is Lindemann's kriek, cherry beer. And no, it's not at all as awful as it may sound. Quite good actually.
