I would have payed good money to see that onstage fight.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

Instead of mocking I'd hope fans would either pledge (you can do so for £8 which gets you the album download) or at the very leat reflect on how sad it is that Mac needs to do this to get his music released.

Contemplating the signed CD (like the abused girlfriend someone likened EATB fans to in an earlier post- it'll be better this time, it will- I can change him!) but wondering if £15 covers shipping to the US... Can't find any mention of shipping charges on the site.

Yes you are correct FC, although I never listened to his music during the nice jumper phase so have no memory of it. Maybe the time is right now for the reunion.

This is what he has to do to get an album out now? Sad. I pledged, though. We are the 57%!

It is what most musicians have to do now (unless backed by Sigh-mon Cowell)...

Exactly - this is the current state of the market for a lot of musicians and if they do it well it can be the best way.

Not for U2 or Coldplay though in fact most acts with an established fan base should be able to get some kind of deal happening.

This may have been the best option for Mac and a brave move on his behalf.

If Mac makes the 100% on pledges, and he's got
74 days to it, and I can't see him ballsing that one up,
then he's going to be stinking rich. The fags and booze
do not come cheap these days!!

Or alternatively he might sober up, a little, cut back on
the fags, maybe around 10 less a day, and
that new Bunnymen album will be as good
as it can be. That's for an apperance with Steve Lamacq
on BBC 6 music, an interview with Janice Long on Radio 2
and various "regional" interviews, with some acoustic
plays of either The killing moon or NLF!!
