It was taken in NYC by Deborah Feingold. I asked Lorraine about it and she shot it over to Mac and he said it was a great party/photo shoot but he couldn't recall why they were dressed in costume. it was included in a retrospective of Feingold's work for NME and they noted it was Echo And The Bunnymen, 1984. But, she couldn't remember either:
“I have no idea why they were wearing these costumes!” Typical of that era.

ahh, thanks for the info. Will looks like he's secretly enjoying dandying up but conflicted because he has to maintain the aloof/mr-grumpy persona. Or maybe not.

Anytime Will doesn't look like he'd rather be dead in a photo is a great Will Sergeant photo. He much prefers to be on the other side of the lens.
