I love Kelley. I had his solo albums before I had his Echo tribute, plus being in Sonny & The Sunsets - win me over with his bunny fandom!

So the new Bunnymen album is on hold.

Mac has rejected Will's contibution.

So Will has given them to Kelly.

The next Bunnymen album if we ever see it will therefore be a Mac Album in disgusie .

Just like most of thier recent output

To be called a Bunny Album, Will has to contractually contribute.

Alas Mac and Will are not talking again.

What else did we really expect?

But at the end of the day and realistcally - how many people hold the same job with the same people for 40+ years?

How many people are really bestest buddys with thie work collegues and how many people are still "thick as thieves" with thier teenage mates.

We will probably get another repackaged greatest hits.

Did you know Mac sold his copyright and licencing rights to the bunnymen backctalog to pay off his personnal debts.

Poor Mac - Life is 20% luck and 80% sweat.

He has had more than his fair of chances but hs blown them repeatedly.

He is so lazy he could'nt even finish his autobiography "Silverfish"

So is Mac getting back at Will for the Noel Burke thing?

I suppose I don’t care what it is called as long as it’s good. I know this is unpopular here but I always thought WAYGTDWYL was a great album no matter what it was called, Mac or Bunnymen. But that was over 20 years ago and the last 10 years have been disappointing so I’m not holding my breath.

I haven't seen the assertion that mac's rejected anything anywhere but KOKs post here, though the way the last couple of albums were done (working with other writers, Sarge adding bits to the more or less completed recordings) might suggest the same would happen. I did read some interview with Will where he said he'd been sending stuff to kelley. Might have been that podcast with the arts university. I'll look it up instead of doing something useful.

sooo. right at the end of that interview (lonely arts club - link on here somewhere) he says he's been sending stuff to kelley and that he'd probably be doing that anyway, then the interview pushes him fro the question he's kind of dodged, i.e. what's next for the bunnymen and he says he doesn't have much to do with the writing of it and has been 'kind of ostracised from that' but goes on to say he still loves playing live and that pretty much is all about the old stuff which he still likes playing.

Who knows what goes on on Mac's head?
