What about Jake Brockman?

I would like to ask if he was one of the dooshes that left Pete in New Orleans after bleeding him dry.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

What? Are you alluding to something ill-willed towards Jake Brockman? I thought everyone fawned over this guy. Personally, he always reminded me of that 5th Beatle guy. Not really a member of the band, but just enough of a hanger-on.

Nothing ill-willed unless he was one of those dudes who left Pete high and dry. Plus it sounds like he and Damon Reece were the ones trying to flog the Bunnymen well past their prime. Based on the Noel Burke interview.

Kounelaki provided me with an e-mail to contact Bill Drummond. He politely declined. this is what he had to say:

Dear Brian,

Thanks for your email and invitation. I have enjoyed looking at the site and have just read the Noel Burke interview where I think he comes over very well and am pleased he has such a positive take on it all.

As for me, I think I said everything that I have wanted to say in my story From The Shores Of Lake Placed published in 45. I do not have a problem with you publishing all of that on your site. That said I do not have it on my hard drive, you would have to take it direct from the book.

Yours,

Bill Drummond

I suppose if anyone has this and the means to scan it I will post it here since he appears to give permission to reproduce it.

Here is a recent interview with Drummond. No mention of the Bunnymen except in the authors intro.

that's awesome, and glad he took the time to reply.

if you wanted to interview some of the current bunnymen line-up - Ste Brannan, Paul "Baltic" Flemming, or even Si Finley their previous Siberia-tour drummer... they're all contactable on myspace. most of the bunny fans on myspace are their friends too. I chat with Ste from time to time... he's the nicest guy in the world. Maybe he'd do an interview with you

Don't you think that'd lead them to getting banned?

That would be an interesting turn of events.

I wonder if a member of any band signed to a major label has ever been fired for talking to the administrator of a website.
