Bobby Gillespie interview

We know there is more to life than the music of the Bunnymen. Talk about those other bands here.

Yup. ... and it's a great way of ignoring and neglecting all the work that needs done in the new house.

Gillespie getting all philosophical like about Joe Strummer in the documentary "The Future Is Unwritten."

One of the hazards of modern gig-going is the "Bobby Gillespie Guest Spot".

Unaccountably, he has a habit of turning up at every high-profile gig and barging onstage to make some unwanted contribution. This happened, for example, at the Suicide gig at the Barbican last year. What was BG doing there? What did he actually contribute. I went to see Rev and (the late) Vega, not this overexposed skinny-jeaned streak of piss. An unkind person (not me of course) would think he was riding on the back of others' reputation.

Please Mr Gillespie, start staying in a bit more - perhaps listening to records; and if you have to venture out to gigs, just stay discreetly in your seat. Please.

The guitar on Under the Sun by DiiV seems to wear its Sergentian (Mighty Lemon Drops era) influence on its sleeve. Not a million miles from the Cure either (I'll get me coat)
