London Show Rescheduled

Postby DUKE » Sun May 18, 2014 9:45 am

Just thought I'd post this in case you didn't know that the show at the 02 Shepherds Bush Empire that was cancelled from yesterday (May 17th) has been rescheduled for Sunday June 8th. I've rebooked my train tickets and am over £20 worse off so far, nothing to some people who turned up in Manchester the other night. Better luck this time!

Last night was brilliant, loved every minute. Mac looked great, he's lost some weight, had a hair cut and bought a 'smart' jacket. I was right at the front with Bunnygod, the new songs sounded good and the old ones were fab as always, a really good night

It wouldn't work if Mac was a slaphead would it.

That's a crap review who is this Dick Head. Tell him to go to a One Direction concert. I'm sure he's about that age.

Hiya Amanda, saw you guys from level 2 in the Gods. You were about 3-4 back at the start but on the barrier by the end - nice movin and good arm wavin and dancin'! Hollered your name a couple of times before the start but still too noisy to catch your attention. Looked like he had some new shoes on too! Great gig but all too short. Catch you soon, Jayne and Mark x.

bunnymen in good form again, Macs voice seemed like it had pretty well recovered. enjoyed the new stuff again, especially constantinople. the killing moon followed by a pulsating cutter, nothing lasts forever, lips and ocean rain sealed the night.
most amusing part of the night was late journey home with the 1D fans

as for the review, stop the fucking press! "band that were great 30 years ago struggling to live up to former glory" so fucking what. as for being "singer Ian McCulloch cuts a low-key, subdued figure compared with the posturing, preening rock god of yore" i prefer that one to the one that leapt across a table trying to fight a member of the audience. i doubt many of us behave the way we did 30 years ago.

I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't hear Will's guitar during Cnople as loud as I would have liked.....but maybe that was
just where I was right up the front.... Ian's voice was superb. A good gig but a bit short.
Even god has to soundcheck sometimes

Did anyone manage to get hold of a cd/dvd of this gig? It was announced at the start that this item would be on sale at the end of the gig. Left to get a tube before the second encore. Funny you should mention 1D. My train home was full of teenage girls (and the odd boy) who'd been to their concert on the same night as the Bunnymen gig!
