Joe-eatb wrote:Actually I agree with you, I do not like Holy Moses at all and I also think Lovers On the Run is not great either. But the rest of the new album I like very much. You have every right to your opinion, but if everything they put out is shit and you go to the show and say they were shit, why do you bother with them at all. There are bands I used to like but they just don’t do it for me anymore, but I do not go to there websites and tell all there fans that they are shit, I just don’t follow them any more. No hard feelings . . .

I've been to the gig in Paris and said here that it was very good.
Also said 2 songs on new album are very good...
so, I didn't tell everything they do now is shite.

I follow them since 30 years and still love them.
Poltergeist is great ! But new bunnymen album is 80% crap.
Just my opinion, mate.
To the logical limit

in these parts pragmatism is seen as optimism?

I don't define pragmatism as tellinng your fellow VT members you're allowed your opinions just don't post them here. I don't begrudge anyone who loves the Bunnymen's latter day output as they shouldn't begrudge someone's negative opinion. They're both just as valid.

to be honest i didn't actually read the post, just saw brief bit and thought 'fair enough, could be better' and then i saw your optimism comment and missed the tone there probably so, meh indeed, i bow to your great wisdom

Let's not get carried away here. It's the same speech I've been giving for years! I just dust it off once a year for the VT youngins.
With the Force as his ally he did battle with the Dark Lord. And he showed the measure of a true Jedi at a place called "The Death Star" where hope for the Galaxy was reborn. May all who struggle against tyranny hold his memory in their hearts

'VT youngins' are classed as those who still have at least 25% of their own teeth and are able to walk a minimum of 50 yards without the aid of a walking frame or mobility scooter.

Just listened to it in full. It is listenable, but I'm not sure I like it, not yet anyway, apart from Market Town, don't like that one at all.

Not a bad review. In fact, hits a few good points.
