I DIDN'T WRITE ANYTHING ABOUT AMAZON OR PLEDGING!!!!!
bunnygirlxx, it's medication time.

Mac's lyrics have been a bit shite since the grey album really and on the new album it's sometimes hard to tell what he's singing anyway so it's not a deal breaker for me.

Joe-eatb wrote:Actually I agree with you, I do not like Holy Moses at all and I also think Lovers On the Run is not great either. But the rest of the new album I like very much. You have every right to your opinion, but if everything they put out is shit and you go to the show and say they were shit, why do you bother with them at all. There are bands I used to like but they just don’t do it for me anymore, but I do not go to there websites and tell all there fans that they are shit, I just don’t follow them any more. No hard feelings . . .
in_bluer_skies wrote:bunnygirlxx wrote:Exactly! The new songs sound great live too!!
Some of the comments have been totally unfair and please tell me how you can write your opinion of a gig, then change your mind about it a few days later??? If that's not jumping on the bandwagon, I don't know what is!!
Froggy, am with you on the songs. It's like The Fountain revisited for me and pretty much the same as how you mentioned it. Was surprised that they could pull them off ok live. I was counting the seconds until Constantinople was over. Dreadful.
I had not seen the band for a year and a half, got the one decent show a week or so ago and was pretty excited at first. I wrote my review with a bit of excitement however it was not their best gig ever. Maybe 'flawless' but flawless means no Mac breakdowns, no shouting at fans and the whole show went on as planned.
The hope and determination of the bunnygirlxx comments are cute but they're a bit over exaggerated.
VB, I thought they said the download comes with the album from Pledge but it's not over yet. Could that be why you haven't gotten it? Not buying any of it. Still not right that people who buy on amazon can get it earlier than the pledgers who signed up months ago...

I agree with you Joe! Why shell out loads of cash if it only makes you bitter and twisted? Go and find a new band that puts a smile on your face!! I worshipped Bowie as a kid but hated his late 80's and Tin Machine stuff, would never slag him off though! By all means have an opinion and understand people being fed up about shows being put off but why bother if it gets you down. Won't happen though.........
The sarcasm I get from some just makes me laugh, after all it is the lowest form of wit!!!

So what you are arguing if a person doesn't like the current (or previous) output of the lead singer then they should shut up and/or bugger off, even if they are really fond of some of the band's back catalogue, the odd track here and there or album since, as well as separate stuff done by one or two of the current/former band members? I would also get the point about not bothering going to their gigs if the performance was weighted completely towards the stuff that they didn't like too. Might be the case with the current tour, but certainly not before!
