But, for me, if you do those sort of tours you might as well put a big sign over your head saying: "I'm done. I have nothing new to offer. I'm going to live off past glories."

He played his 1979 album "The Pleasure Principle" plus extras in 2011 in Australia,so did he forget about this? great performances though.
The problem with self improvement is knowing when to quit.
