it's gorgeous. nice collection of guitars. i only have 3, hence my want to expand the assortment, not with dodgy/rented stuff though.

Thank you! I really didn't know if they would do it.
I spoke to JS recently about his art. Lovely guy.

Good.

It's too bad he won't adjust the description. People would still love to own something Les personalized and Will played. Just be honest about it.

Good news IBS. Now stay away from the auctions!

ITM, yes! I would've kept the auction as is but felt shafted because it wasn't honest. Hearing something otherwise after you shelled out that cash was awful. The FB post killed it for me.

Dave, ever see John's 'Tate Shots' videos or the one from the BBC Culture show? I love those. The Roses art is amazing. Wish I had some of those. We spoke of his prints and the conversation went later to them going to Paris for the shows. I recommended seeing the Pompidou Gallery, which is absolutely stunning, and he said "Is that the one with the pyramid outside?" I said "No, beauty, that's the Louvre...." He said he hadn't been there in 12 years.

BF, my new BFF now that I have my cash (that I never really had) back. My Am Ex may take you for a beer. Arrange the details and I will be there. I could definitely use one after all that!

Anyone want a laugh???

"all the wording for ebay was cleared with Will when i asked him if he was ok with me selling the guitar

and I didn't write the Facebook posts - I just asked the FB guy to put a link to the auction - this was obviously my mistake not checking the copy properly before it was posted.

that's why I disputed your claim initially - I didn't even know it said "win Will Sergeant's guitar" until you sent me the screenshot (hence the refund)

I do feel however that the guitar was certainly part of Wills "collection".

he's had it in his possession from when he got it from me 3 years ago and then wanted it re-sprayed, until I got it back from him a few months ago ! he used it on every gig since 2010 - and the Poltergeist album

he effectively 'owned' it for that time.

the COA states that this guitar was used by Will on the tours and album

obviously I'm not going to convince you - but, after 20 years, my reputation for honesty in the music industry is impeccable - and I was in no way deliberately attempting to mislead anyone.

I've never sold anything on eBay before. and after this experience, it's doubtful I will again."

I agree Dave, I think his art's pollocks as well.

While that guitar is a piece of Bunnymen history (Even the fact that Les worked on it in his boat shop is pretty cool) I would have to disagree with the "effectively owned" part. When I read get yourself Will's guitar it conjures up a much more romantic notion than borrowing your manager's guitar for three years.

The most shocking part of the e-mail is that the Bunnymen have a facebook guy.

The last part is a lie, BF. He doesn't want to admit fault! And the fact that he lost £1,200 for being a dickhead.

Borrowing is clearly not owning. That is so shit and makes me even more happy that I didn't buy this. If Will said the wording was ok, then he is off too.
