3 stars in Mojo is a courtesy write-up.

In bluer skies..... I see the spelling has gone back to normal with anything Buns related. Can anybody write properly??

got the cd today - only ordered it yesterday. service eh? on a first listen its not going to change any of ye naysayers views I'd say - though its her voice that gives most of it the sixties vibe with the sarge flying off at tangents - bits even sound like pre-unforgettable fire U2 and production wise any sarge fan will recognise the constant panning and the inability to resist, when theres a break in the vocal sticking in a farty swirling synthesiser or putting in a brillian melody line just as the song fades as if to piss you off. Reminds me a bit of siberia - not that it sounds anything like it, but theres loads of good bits (middle instrumental to a song credited to EP & Guy Chambers, but sarge plays all the instruiments and produces) could be Visage) but none of it really gels into a fantastic song. Probably the best one is the last where it hits a poltergeistian groove and pretty much sticks to it for 6 and a half minutes with minimal fannying around.

talking bollocks there (no change there eh) - its a EP/Sarge/Pete Byrne song that sounds a bit Visage - Visage if they had a bloke playing Avalanche era guitar lines over the top. Those of you who cant do poltergeist "because theres no singer" might like parts of this album.

You're not in advertising are you FC? That would make a great strapline for the album's promotional campaign.

Fantastic cd! Adele recorded without the over production? And a fantastic guitarist to compliment her. Strong, confident voice!

Would really like to see Will and Eva tour. Jewelled Moon, Emerald Green Eyes, and Don't Be Shy are tops.

also glad to see any remix of the songs being that the original versions are just plain shite. it sounds like it was a homemade recording unfortunately. not getting the wall of sound vibe over here.

Do you think you would like it if Eva were a man?

Why did you write shite? You're not British.

heard a couple of the tracks and i couldn't agree with FC more.
it was a bit twiddly here and there but nothing stood out (at least to my ears).

Withahip - no, i wouldn't like it the same even with a guy singer. the 60's stuff is a bit played out at this point and the songs don't have as big a production as say someone like bernard butler would do with duffy. only an example but these songs are a bit bland.
and why did i write 'shite' if i'm not british? 'shit' looked too hard in the writing, it was done to soften it up. thank you so much for caring. you're a star.

I favour the use of shite vs shit anytime, and don't mind it being taken up by outsiders, but I must disagree with your premise that it 'softens' it. You've obviously never heard it in a weegie accent.

About 2.35 mins in.

Kevin Bridges is class, he's the only comedian I'd pay to see.

I just want you to know I've been judicious in my usage of "pretentious wank"
