The bunnymen can still play a 'cracker' compared to the rest of the dross that is out there. Not too sure about it being a 'great' venue though. I think its a dump and I can't stand the place but I suppose that apart from the arena which they won't fill then there is little choice. Maybe the phil, that's a lot nicer although its all seats I think. The royal court used to be pretty good but I don't think it does groups any more....

I quite liked the Olympia as well, though the Phil was the best venue I've seen them play in recent years but sitting for most of the performance was a bit weird. Really liked the Royal Court, saw a few bands play there in the late '80's.

My first concert was at the royal court in 1984- The cure with and also the trees as support. Next was the bunnymen at the phil, same year.

tickets have been sold for o2 Liverpo. thanks to admin for the number suggestion but tbh I trust Bunnymen fans not to he arseholes and abuse likeminded fans. We don't always agree but abusing someone's personal number would be a bit much.

Postby blinkilite » Sun Dec 02, 2012 4:48 pm

Is anyone from VT planning to go to the Xmas gig in Liverpool? I'm making the trip over for a few days and I'm wondering if there's any plans for a pre-gig meetup? Please post details so we can plan to go :) cheers

What's the best place to park for the Academy? I know there is Mount Pleasant quite nearby but doesn't that close at about 10.00? Last time we parked at Moorfields because its 24 hours but that's a bit of a hike in what is always awful weather. Anybody suggest anywhere a bit closer?

If I'm not staying I usually park in the Liner Hotel car park which is just round the corner from the venue, you just drive in and pay for a token at Reception to get out. It was only about five or six quid last time I parked there but might be pretty busy on the 15th.
