Yeah, that was a bit weird. The torch thing was cool; I liked how they had several people do it rather than just one. I also liked the Arctic Monkeys' cover of "Come Together" (and I'm not a Beatles fan). The American uniforms were awful. They looked way too French with the berets, and I did not like the flag interpretation on the uniforms either. Don't mess with the flag; it's a huge "no-no".

Billy, my own daughter is only three years younger than that hurdler, so I personally am more likely to see her as a daughter-figure than as competition. :-)

I tried to watch NBC's coverage of the men's team gymnastics event tonight. Holy cow, the commentators took their bitch pills this morning! They really piled the insults on Team USA.

Feeling very ho-hum about it all this year. I do prefer the Winter Olympics myself. Snowboard half-pipe is ridiculously rad.

I think that Queen pic was taken during the deaf childrens choir. I remember thinking, maybe she doesn't understand that these are deaf kids.
