Hot town, summer in the city

Postby Malbert » Tue Jul 17, 2012 8:27 am

Western New York is not an area that is known for its hot summers, and by comparison to Arizona, it really isn't hot. But it has been in the upper 80's, over 90 often, and the only thing that makes it tolerable is the pool in my backyard, which has gotten a lot of use. It's too damn hot to walk Ginger (chocolate lab), and Brutus (English mastiff) loves to lay on the driveway in the hot sun. The pug, Grendel, snorts and has what sounds like asthma attacks whenever he's out for more than 5 minutes. I told my husband that this kind of weather makes people homicidal. Of course, this is just a statement and not scientific fact (that I can reference).

Good idea. Also wait three hours after eating.

I thought the rule was "Wait 30 minutes after eating before swimming"

Yes but this is posting on VT, not swimming. Much harder on the stomach.

Well my stomach can't take anything fried now that I'm (almost 43 {officially on Sunday. Send monetary gfits though Paypal. Otherwise, I'll e-mail my address for nicely wrapped presents [and please notice I did not use the word "package" as I'm afraid of what might arrive]}). Besides, I've got big balls. That gets me through just fine.

Last present I sent you, you told all and sundry it was, I quote, 'crap'. So there!

I never said it had to be anything GOOD, I'm just soliciting gifts, that's all. And I don't know who "sundry" is. Is she a friend for Melvin?
