Two sold out nights in a 1,000 seats theatre in Sao Paulo.
He was in a surprisingly good mood, tried to say some words in Portuguese, did not make the knock knock joke, but said something about a squirrel that I couldn't understand. Also told a history about a dinner with Lou Reed and a fish that cost 90 £ or something like that.
He tried to comply with the audience requests for songs that were not in the set list (below) playing The Disease, The Game (and here he dedicated to Les), and Midnight Hour. For the Silver, Over the Wall and Porcupine he said it was too difficult.
After the new song Somewhere in My Dreams, which goes from “There is a castle in my dreams, there is Queen in my dreams…” and ends “there is nothing in my dreams”, a crazy girl screams” Ian you are my dream!” and all the melancholic atmosphere was gone… After that, he started to interact with the audience more and more .
He stopped to take anti acid tablets and asked to the audience to take the interval while he was chewing to cough out loud before the next song.
When someone said “caipirinha!!” while he was drinking something, he said “ I had some last night and woke up with a girl in my bed”.
If someone is interested, you can search for Ian McCulloch SESC Pinheiros on the Youtube.
The voice was not bad and everyone seems to have enjoyed the night, including him. After the show he came to the front of the stage, shook hands with the fans and even kissed a girl. Funny night…

Set list:
1. Candleland
2. Rescue
3. Bring on the Dancing Horses
4. Idolness Of Gods
5. Proud to Fall
6. Pro Patria Mori (new)
7. Fools Like Us
8. Start Again
9. Rust
10. The Cape
11. Zimbo
12. Watch Me Land (new)
13. The Fountain
14. Arthur
15. The Killing Moon
16. Somewhere In My Dreams (new)
17. Nothing Lasts Forever

Encore 1
18. Somewhere
19. Walk on the Wild Side

Encore 2
20. Lips Like Sugar

Here's the Youtube link that I found for the new song Somewhere in My Dreams.

It's on the second half 5'. Please skip Killing Moon. There is someone else destroying the song.
According to Mac, "that is potentially a classic"
You don´t have to Pledge

His voice really suits this one.

Strings are nice too.

Sorry, Mr. Brian, that's all I can say. It's very difficult to someone that does not have English as a native language to understand what Mac says after some drinks.
I think he was explaining how the audience singing The Killing Moon sounds to him. I sware he mention a squirrel....

We all speak English, and none of us understands what he says half the time, either!

Mr Brian is American so he will know exactly what you are on about.
