Will Sergeant Things Inside

General discussion about the band, live shows, its recordings or bootlegs, etc. You can buy, sell or trade here. You can even post eBay links. If it's about the Bunnymen, it goes here.

the ghost of guitarplayer wrote:It works for me likewise, not because it is the greatest piece of music I have ever heard, it's not and I think this album will probably end up as nice background music to listen to (IMHO those two tracks would be even better with some percussion of some sort), but he tends to think outside the box (or whatever the saying is). It doesn't sound like something he has done before meaning that it is obvious that he is experimenting for the sake of experimenting. This is where the Bunnymen have gone wrong for me (i.e. trying other things) and out of my fading interest in that band, Will is pretty much filling the void now. And for that I have full respect for him as a musician. The stuff that Mac has revealed from his album just sounds like any "Bunnymen" music of the last decade minus Will's guitar. It's unexciting.

Well said.

My personal opinion is that I think Will's track titles seem to describe the tracks rather well, it might sound silly but a lot of times the artist will have me expecting something, and I'll hear something different and I'm not sure why, so it's somewhat important to me. On the other hand, 'Toy Piano Mantra' wasn't that interesting to me, even though it was exactly what I was expecting. I would have to hear more, though I suppose the other track would probably grow on me overtime.

Another new track and video. "Dragon Flies" - creepy video and a really good track. Kind of Indian almost Chinese sound. I think this is the best one so far.

Thanks for that Ghostie. I hope these videos become available to buy as a set at some point. Great stuff

Dragonfliesedit is actually a German word. I think it's what they call slippers.

I'm off to see Rammstein tomorrow, I'll see if I can get a definitive answer.

Just when I'm starting to get over my zombie phobia, a dummy has to pop up! Those are even more creepy.

Any sketches you can make will be sure to prove most invaluable.

Indubitably, I'll endeavour to set up my easel in front of the stage to facilitate a clear view of the proceedings, I'm sure the jolly fellows attending the evening's entertainment will afford me plenty of space to work in.

Will says the album was inspired by a recent colorectal exam.
