Bunnymen without Mac - "Nien Danke!"

I don't care what it's called--if it's Will's music, I want to hear it!

Great interview! Hadn't seen this before either. I didn't read Chris Adams' review--I went to Crocs/HUH in SF, I know what it was like.

I'm looking forward to both cds.... but just saying that you can't have Bunnymen without
Mac (or Will).

Hmm, is anybody actually buying it because it might be good solid album of creative music or is it just because they love Will or because they lurve anything and everything about Echo and The Bunnymen?

Will should never be an afterthought.

And BTW....I'm pledging for the album on the strength of his other solo works. So THERE!

I know everyone is supposed to be all blown away by Will's solo work, but I've never been that interested.

Supposed to be? Fuck that. I am. Curvature of the Earth is the best thing either he or Ian has put out since Ocean Rain. And his guitar work with Eva is GOOD.

Actually, aside from Empire State Halo, I'd say it's the only good thing.

He is at 25% of his target. Oh - it was mentioned.

Are there any vocals in any of this solo Will Sergeant business? I've never been that interested in instrumental work.

Instrumental music has a solid place in my musical archive--often when I'm working, I find music with singing distracting, which breaks my concentration. I find instrumental music helps me enjoy my work more.

Well, can't argue with that. If you need vocals, you need vocals. Only one song on Curvature has vocals and it is far from my favorite.

Otherwise, you would need to listen to the Eva track and that is just one. What I like about it, is the singing is doing the retro Duffy thing while Will plays his style of guitar.

Sounds really cool. I don't know why but the new song sort of reminds me of Porcupine. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album. I wonder how much Les plays on it.
